Unlike the cruise ships, dahabiyas and Sandals can berth at any suitable place on the banks of the Nile. This allows for a more flexible itinerary and a more enjoyable exploration of the river.

The trips can be either for as few as 4 days or as long as 7 days, depending upon your preferences. The most popular itineraries are described below.

7 Day Cruise Day 1

Transfer from Luxor to Esna, arriving at Esna at around noon. Board the boat with time to settle in and then lunch will be served, the day is spent sailing down to an area called El Hads where we moor for the night.

Day 2

During breakfast we move down to El Kab where there is the great mud brick wall surrounding the temple of Nekbet, we walk on to see the tombs of which there are 4, returning to the boat for lunch and sailing onto Edfu. Visiting the temple in the afternoon and then mooring at El Fowersi for the night.

Day 3

Sailing down to Wadi Chat arriving in the afternoon and then taking a walk along the desert road meeting the boat down at Gebel Silsila where we moor for the night.

Day 4

After breakfast taking in the site of the Horemheb temple at Silsila with a short stroll looking at the stellas along the river, returning to the boat where we sail down to Ferris a village known for its vast Mango growing and take a walk around the village and return for lunch. Sailing down to Manea where we moor for the night.

Day 5

After breakfast visit the temple of Sobek and Horus at Komombo returning for lunch and continue to sail for the rest of the day spending the night at Companea.

Day 6

After a leisurely breakfast we will take a walk around the village and stop for a drink in one of the local houses, this area is where the Nubian people where relocated on the building of Lake Nasser. We then have a short sail into Aswan after lunch. Mooring for the night.

Day 7

After breakfast we will organise your car for the day to visit the sites of Aswan, returning to the boat late afternoon where you can relax before dinner , after dinner the crew will be your musical entertainment singing traditional songs and dancing.

Day 8

After a leisurely breakfast we will transfer you into Aswan to your hotel, railway station or the airport.

4 Day Cruise

We don't include any walking , El Kab or Wadi Chat, arriving in Aswan late on the final evening.

5 Day Cruise

Leaving Komombo and then sailing directly down to Aswan for you to depart the follwing morning.

6 Day Cruise

Not incorporating the full day in Aswan, so leaving morning of day 7.

What is included:

Transfers to and from the boat.

All meals and soft drinks.

Guided to the sites by a crew member.

What is not included:

Alcoholic drinks are available at an extra cost.

Entrance fees to the sites and transport if required ( most of them within walking distance).

Guide for the temples ( this can easily be arranged if required at a cost of 100le per temple).
